lesson two.....

Ok so on Tuesday I basically got my ass kicked at the dentist office. I had finally got around to some crown work I had been putting off for several months and am still nursing a sore jaw. So on Wednesday I basically felt like crap from my jaw and my reoccurring back issues that I am sure have everything to do with being "a little TOO chunky". this is not a medical diagnosis, just what I feel.

Anyhow.... I managed to drag my ass over to Sandy's so we could be off to water aerobics. I really do enjoy this class no matter what I may say. As we got there, the lovely NE weather was blowing in a rain storm or two. We got about 30-40 minutes into our class and had to haul it out of the water, as the weather had turned. By the time we got changed and outside, it was just rain. No high winds, no hail, no lightening, no thunder, no funnel clouds... just rain. Hmmm... I was pretty bummed at missing out on the class as it was getting fun (the music was some of my favorites from the 80's). we will be having a sub next week and she is a perky young girl who will probably whip our butts. I will find out on Monday.

OK on to Thursday night - we went up to the school for open house and found out that the boy is doing wonderfully in his class, and is once again a teacher pet. Very lucky that he is a good student, and enjoys school. Or puts on a really good show of it. Talked to the girl's teacher and it was not so wonderful. She is struggling to stay on task during school. I have noticed this at home as well when we do homework. I am concerned about her. I don't know if this is just that she is only 7, or that she does not like school, or that there may be something else going on that she is not able to focus. She is a smart girl, I have no doubts about that. if she does not want to do something though, it is very difficult to get her to do it. I really think that the ADD thing is overdone and that is not the problem in a lot of cases. I do not want to medicate her when it really is not necessary. Not sure what to do, I know it will all click for her, but it is just getting there.

Now on to Friday night...tonight was girls' night out. Sandy, Laura and I went to dinner and a movie. We saw Easy A and it was really a cute movie with a lot of laughs. really glad we saw that one. in the end, I think this was a cheaper night out than our quest for a fabulous bloody mary would have been. So far we have discovered that they are either really good or suck ass. there does not seem to be any middle ground there. I think I may just have to figure out a recipe on my own and go from there.

well, it is now 1:30ish and I need to get to bed. I have to work tomorrow and am not looking forward to it at all. Hopefully, the moring will go quickly so I can come home and get stuff done around the house.
